Payment gateway integration
The simplest application integration for Semafone is through a Semafone enabled hosted payment page. This can be supplied by your Payment Services Provider (PSP) or from Semafone directly. The hosted payment page can be called directly from your CRM system in the same way as your current payment page. Rather than agents listening to the PAN and CVC and entering these into the hosted payment page, Semafone securely captures this data. Other payment data, such as valid from and valid to dates, can be entered into the hosted payment page by the agent.
Once all the transaction data has been captured then the agent can select to process the payment. The PSP processes the payment and returns the authorisation details, together with a token for the processed card. Throughout this process, the agent, the desktop, the CRM system, and the call recording solution have all been kept out of scope for PCI DSS compliance, as no in-scope data has been processed within these environments.
Semafone enabled hosted payment pages are currently available for:
- Barclaycard ePDQ Lite
- Barclaycard SmartPay
- RBS WorldPay
- The Logic Group Managed Services
- HSBC ePDQ Lite
The following enabled hosted payment pages are currently under development:

Summary
- Minimal impact to current hosted payment page architecture
- Keeps the contact centre out of scope for PCI DSS
- Offers, through tokens, the ability to de-scope the CRM system from PCI DSS
